Privacy Policy

How your notes, media, and app information are handled.

Last updated: October 3, 2026

About this policy

Secured24 is developed by AEY on Apps. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information. You can contact us at aeyonapps@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

Secured24 does not require its own account. Your saved content is stored on your device, with optional iCloud backup. The app also uses services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and purchases, as described below.

Your notes and media

Secured24 stores note titles and text, voice recordings, drawings, photos, videos, and associated information such as creation dates, lock states, and expiry settings. Note text and attachments saved on your device are encrypted using AES-256-GCM. Local encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain.

The app decrypts content as needed for display, playback, or sharing you initiate. Temporary files can contain unencrypted content during recording, preview, playback, or sharing.

Locking an item controls access through Apple device authentication. Authentication is handled by iOS; Secured24 uses the result to decide whether to open locked content.

If you use the sharing feature, the app provides the selected content in a readable format to the iOS share interface so you can send it to an app or destination you choose.

Optional iCloud backup

When you start a backup, Secured24 uploads eligible content to your private CloudKit database in iCloud. Only unlocked notes and media without expiry timers are eligible for this backup. Backup and restore require iCloud access and are initiated by you; this feature is not continuous synchronization.

Backups include eligible note text, attachments, and associated information. They also include the app’s saved encryption keys and key metadata for restoration. The key backup is not limited to keys used by the content included in that backup.

Note titles and text are stored in your private iCloud database without the app’s local encryption. Attachment files remain encrypted, with their recovery keys included in the backup. Apple’s iCloud protections and your account settings determine how the cloud backup is protected.

See Apple’s privacy policy and iCloud data security information.

Analytics and diagnostics

Secured24 uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app use. Information can include screen views, sessions, app interactions, device and app details, approximate location, an app installation identifier, and in-app purchase events. Device identifiers may also be available where permitted.

Firebase Crashlytics helps diagnose crashes. Reports can include crash details, the app’s state, device and operating-system information, installation identifiers, and recent app interactions. Secured24 also records detected security-risk categories and descriptions, with timestamps in its custom Analytics security events. Those custom events do not include note text or media content.

Secured24’s Google Analytics property is linked to AdMob for reporting and monetization features. Its settings allow eligible Analytics data to be used for advertising personalization.

Our Analytics account settings also permit aggregated-data modeling and business insights, Google technical-support access, and recommendations based on our account information. The separate option to share Analytics data for general improvement of Google products and services is off; this does not disable the AdMob link or those other uses.

These services process information outside your device and are separate from content backup. See Firebase’s privacy information, Google Analytics data disclosures, and Google’s privacy policy.

Advertising and tracking

The free app uses Google AdMob for interstitial ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device or app identifiers, ad interactions, usage information, and diagnostic and performance information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

You can allow or deny tracking when the app presents the iOS tracking-permission prompt. When tracking is not authorized, Secured24 requests non-personalized ads. Denying tracking does not mean that advertising services stop processing all information.

You can review tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The ad-removal purchase or features bundle removes in-app ads. These purchases do not disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

AdMob may involve advertising partners in serving and processing ads. See Google Mobile Ads data disclosures and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Device permissions

Camera access is used to take photos and record videos. Microphone access is used for voice notes and video audio. Locked content uses Apple device authentication: Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, depending on your device and settings. You can review app permissions in iOS Settings; denying a permission can limit the corresponding feature.

Purchases

In-app purchases use Apple’s in-app purchase system. Secured24 uses purchase and restoration information to make purchased features available. The app does not ask you to enter payment-card details. Apple handles billing under its own terms and privacy policy.

Website visits and support

This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Google processes visitor IP addresses to help detect abuse and provide service usage information. These pages do not use website analytics or advertising scripts.

If you email aeyonapps@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and help resolve the issue. Please include only what is needed to explain the problem, without private notes, passwords, or sensitive media.

Storage and deletion

Deleting an item removes its saved record. Attachment-file cleanup may be retried if it cannot finish immediately. Expiry checks run while the app is operating; deletion at the exact expiry time while the app is closed is not guaranteed. An already open item can remain visible until you leave its screen.

Restoring an item successfully replaces any existing local version of that item. Deleting local content does not immediately delete an existing iCloud copy. A later successful backup removes cloud note and media records that are no longer in the eligible local set; key information is retained for restoration. iCloud storage is also subject to Apple’s account and storage controls.

Our Google Analytics retention settings are 14 months for user-level data and key event data, and 2 months for other event-level data. New activity restarts the retention period for user-level data. These limits do not apply to standard aggregated reports. Google processes deletion under these retention controls monthly.

Google states that Crashlytics starts removing crash data and associated identifiers after 90 days, while Firebase Hosting retains visitor IP addresses for a few months. Advertising information is handled under Google’s applicable retention policies. Deleting content in Secured24 or removing ads does not itself delete information already held by these services.

You can contact us at aeyonapps@gmail.com with questions or requests about access, correction, or deletion of information handled by AEY on Apps.

Service providers and changes

Apple provides iCloud backup and purchase services. Google provides the analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and website hosting services described above. These providers may process information outside your country under their applicable policies and safeguards.

We may update this policy when the app, website, or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version of this page.
